As a (kinda healthy ☺️) 70 year-old Whitetail hunter, my very recent discovery of saddle hunting has breathed new life and adrenaline into the body. I’ve already watched countless youtube videos and read tons of posts here. It’s mind-boggling that I never knew SH existed until I stumbled upon it when I Googled, “Best tree stand for run and gun hunting.” I was about ready to pull the trigger and order a LW Assault II but decided to sleep on it ‘till morning. That’s all she wrote. All I know for sure is that I‘ll be sitting in a saddle in a tree in three months. When watching some of the videos on how fast and how high one can climb, I have to remind myself to skip membership in that particular club, lol. I’ve already engaged in a few posts and replies here, and it’s refreshing to see the professional knowledge and the courtesy that goes back and forth.

Welcome from SE PA. 62 years old. SRT is the easiest most secure climbing method, IMHO.

Welcome from Arkansas ! Just moved here from Raleigh a bit over a year ago...never got the chance to hunt out there - wishing a good season for you!

Welcome from southern Maine! Tons of knowledge and ingenuity on this site. I've learned a lot since coming here and I've been hunting for over 40 years myself.
