A year without buying hunting gear?

I heard a a guy on a hunting blog say he heard from someone in the industry that CatWolfNinja was coming out with a carbon-fiber bucket that's 14oz lighter.

Exactly where I got the idea to fashion up straps for mine! Threw an old button-up camo shirt on it and a 3/4" foam pad. Good to go. Holds my ghillie suit top, a bow holder stake, and other hunting periphery for the walk in. :)
Think @DanO is also going to offer them in ASAT.

Has that water bottle holder for your tether/rappel climbing rope, and a pouch for the additional requirements for two tether climbing with a thigh band....because you know hunting from a 5 gallon bucket sucks and you really wish you were saddle hunting after all.:)

Smoked up a paycheck on First Lite clothing and donated some cash to Lancaster Archery so far but the year is young...

My last hunting related purchase was December 28th from EWO. I told myself last year that in 2021 I was not going to buy much gear because 2020 i bought a new bow, arrows, broadheads, 3 saddles, 2 sets of sticks, a one stick and all the setup that comes with that, hunting clothes, boots, boot dryer, pop up 28, trail cams, cheap binos, cheap bino harness, etc. Now I'm thinking can I go a full year without buying any hunting gear at all? I know we are only 2 months in and its gonna be tough not to as the deer season gets closer. Anyone else cutting back on gear this year or going cold turkey on not buying gear at all?

There's always something to buy if you let your mind go there. For instance, I want to make my truck more emergency/off road friendly (after getting stuck behind a downed tree in cold weather at night without cell service). I could easily spend a few grand on that if I let myself (killer winch, etc) because it is so easy to find the justification.

Only because you obviously NEED it :)

@DanO is about to start selling these. You're welcome Dan.

I believe human trafficking is illegal. As much as I would love someone small to follow behind me with my gear. I gotta draw the line someplace. If your hard up for money @Red Beard I'll spot you some money. No need to start selling off your children.. (Yes. I am totally joking to clarify for anyone who may think I am serious)

You're helping and also not! Ha

I will definitely get the better battery jumper/charger, air compressor, and first aid kit I want. I'll also need new tires, going with General Grabbers this time from Nokian Rotivas. I just got a chain saw also. I think at this point, a 1000 buck Warn winch on my Taco would be overkill!

Funny you say that. I went and spent the weekend in a place that had a strong storm roll through and I didn't get trapped, but it was close. Downed trees everywhere. I keep a folding saw in the spare tire area now.
