So I see a ton of discussions and watch a ton of videos with guys saying how much an item weighs. For example, ( this stick weighs 2.4lbs. ). Most scales weigh in pounds and ounces. So 2.4lbs is actually 2lbs and 6.4 ounces. And if someone is looking at the scale and it is actually 2lbs 4 ounces then it weighs 2.25 lbs. , not 2.4 lbs. I’m just wondering how often we’re saying the decimal wrong and essentially saying that things weigh more than they do. I know I’m being a weirdo picky weight weenie to even bring this up. Just wondering your thoughts.

I always try to report and record weights in pounds and ounces.
Most manufacturers flat out lie, so it doesn’t matter how they report.

True about the lies. But I think more companies are getting better with truthful weights. It seems the sticks and platforms are more accurate.

It's amazing when you weigh the stick with no strap and it's still 8 ounces heavier than their advertised weight.... makes you feel great about the money you spent!

Oh that’s bad. That’s not an ounce or two. I thought that the shikars, beast sticks, and lone wolfs we’re pretty accurate. Am I wrong?

I have no idea on those, but I would assume they are pretty darn close to advertised. I just know Hawk and Muddy haven't been close whenever I've checked.

Lone Wolf used to be accurate in the mid 2000s. The company changed hands and the new guys underreported weights.

I don’t have LWCG sticks, but a friend does and they also grossly underreported weight on his stand and sticks.

Beast sticks are close to advertised.

OOAL is accurately reported
