Adding Steps to Platform Strap

When I use a platform I have a squirrel step at 10 and 2 o’clock on the strap. Mostly for different foot positioning for comfort. Not really needed for shots but does give you a bit more stability.

I had an extra step on my predator platform strap for the first 5 sits of the season but have since removed it. Didn’t like the extra noise I was getting when setting up and taking down and I never used it on any of those 5 sits. I tend to use the top step of my sticks Instead now.

I have used it all year, it helps with comfort when sitting and ackward shots with larger trees, i wouldnt have it any other way personally, i use a cam strap so the steps are lower and the platform is anchored to the tree tighter than just caming it over to help with extreme side pressure, alot of trees i hunt out of the factory strap barely fits around at hunting height

Anyone using squirrel steps on predator strap? How do thay work with strap up higher than the platform?
I tried the squirrel steps on the predator buckle strap...didnt work so well...just the platform and strap lock tight...but the steps and platform not too good at all...I went to a 1/4" amsteel rope to tie the platform and steps...the steps have an open slot and about a 3/8" hole and I put the rope once around the slot and one time through the holes...I wrap the tag end around the back of the platform post and around the ropes that went around the tree...when you pull tight it tightens everything tight to the tree...then just half hitch any extra rope...it becomes so solid when you cam the platform down and affords you a place 120 degrees 9ff your platform on either side to put your feet for akward angle shots...the two steps and amsteel wrap around the platform and Its strapped on my back pack going to and from tree...it is no extra weight or bulk to speak of...it does take an extra couple minuts to put on the tree...I think the strap and buckle weight more than the amsteel and two steps from DanO
