Hi All,

I'm looking for some ideas of how to add weight to crossbolts. From my understanding the screw in weights are not really for crossbows, so the only other alternative is shoot a heavier tip (field point, broadhead).

How are you adding weight to your bolts? Where can I find the product? What weight are you currently shooting?

Buy a hickory creek, and shoot normal arrows. Then you can do whatever you want!

Also, this may not be the cheapest means to your end....

You can get heavier inserts from ethics archery. The inserts I have are 110 or you can cut them to 90 grain. Then I have a 200 grain tuffhead 3 blade on the front.

I am using Sirius Phoenix bolts cut to 18" for my r26 then building the bolts up myself. They come with ethics inserts when you order them. I get them bareshaft fletch myself with a Arizona ezfletch.

I finally finished building my bolts. 110 gr insert, 200 grain head, 18" Sirius Phoenix bolt. Finished weight is 517.5 grains. Now just gotta change my strings and cables on the r26 and hopefully my oracle x shows sometime so I can start shooting. Screenshot_20210710-175207.png
