Aerohunter Merlin

I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago and they gave me a beginning of December date. Decided to cancel and order a JX3 instead.

Ive had mine for about a week also. Seems to be pretty comfortable. The girth hitch on the bridge helps adjust a lot moving it on the loops. Sometimes it takes some effort to get it to grab and stay. I really wish the leg loops were completely removable on the back of the saddle also. Pther than that it is well made and seems to be pretty comfortable. It is a little large for someone with no "assets".

is the pleat functional? The videos I watched it just looks floppy like it’s always open and really just extra material.

It stays closed for now, the mesh is somewhat stiff. I assume it will soften over time. I got a size 1, and it is huge compared to my large mantis. Id say it is more similar in size to the large original trophyline I started out with 15 years ago. I would say it is tailored towards a sitter vs a leaner . I havent hunted with it yet just sat in it a few times in the yard bit those are my initial impressions.

So I see you got a size 1, what is your build size? I am 33 inch waist and 155 pounds on the slim side. I sold my size 2 CRUZR thinking the New Flex/Merlin in size 1 would be a bit smaller.

I have a pretty athletic build, 5'10" 185 with a 33 inch waist, but I have no ass. The saddle fits well, belt fits well, it is just a bit larger in the seat part than I expected it to be.

LOL. I am in same boat, and worse now after many months of chemo and a BMT last spring. Well I think for sure it can't be as big as the CRUZR size 2, least not based on CRUZR's and Aero size charts. Guess I will find out. I also got the cordura.

Really? Mine works great. Granted will only do all day sits in my JX3 but Merlin will be for all of the rest.

Yea, it bunches up really bad for me. Seems to be about twice the material I would prefer even with the pleat together. I have no butt whatsoever, I believe that is my main issue. I'll stick with my mantis, maybe try a kite if I can find one reasonably priced.

I could see that. I’ve got plenty of junk in the trunk!
