Alabama guys seen this?

Mr. Perry has been knocking down giant bama bucks for decades, and taking pics in front of the WMA sign... A 100k acre WMA isn't exactly a "secret spot"
And I’d be willing to bet most people (ie normal, sane, non saddle/non mobile hunting individuals ) ain’t putting in the effort to hunt or even locate the spots he is.

If you listen to him, he has access to a good location, time to hunt that area, a solid understanding of what deer need to do to survive, and a good work ethic.

None of those things in isolation are hard to get, but aligning the stars like he has is impressive. The thing I'm most impressed with that nobody interviewing him seems to care about is the fact that he got his wife hooked on hunting so a weekend chasing bucks is a date instead of him being a selfish dookie-head like it is according to my wife!

Same deer better pic

But he couldn't have shot that deer himself, he is in mismatched camo!

Man would love to get to hunt around someone like that for a few years and just learn.

half the folks who have killed 50+ deer is exactly because they don’t want to be around other people. The other half would absolutely love to take a good hunter under their wing.

good odds if you find a killer, that he’ll help ya. But good luck finding a killer….

Maybe if I just bumble through the woods I’ll happen into one and they’ll have pity on me and teach me just to keep me out of their hair, lol.

Speaking of which, I’m headed up for the gun hunt this week. If anybody’s going to be out there, Y’all watch out! Lol. Don’t shoot the deer in the orange hat...

195 6/8! Ridiculous. He has a room full of bears and other animals to. I can’t believe he gets on podcast and talks so much about where he hunts. Crazy if you ask me but here he is with another giant. New state record for muzzleloader I believe.

Good luck. I’ve never seen so many trucks as I did on the gun hunts a couple years ago. I didn’t go back last season. I’m sure it will be even worse now!

Ended up not necessarily hunting deer, but hunting a hunter-free spot to hunt deer. I swear one gate had 15 trucks today. Was still a beautiful place and I plan to return... just maybe not during a gun hunt.

Yeah it’s a really cool place. I listened to a few of the guys who are successful down there on a podcast a couple years ago. They talked about how many sits in row they would have before they would see a shooter and it kind of discouraged me. I think one guy said he might hunt 18 days in a row without seeing a deer or a buck but then one would come through. I don’t have the time to invest in that kind of hunting. It’s low deer numbers but they’re obviously some giants. There is a ton of pressure there and now it will only be worse.
