Good ole Bama plans for night hunting Coyote and Hog from July 1 till Nov 1 this year and next year Feb 11 till Nov 1. The use of lights, even gun mounted or bow will be legal and most all new tech. This means I can hunt over bait 24 hrs a day 9 months a year, now while hunting and it gets dark I can just turn on the lights and never stop, Is this a great country or what, Well to be honest I realy don't like it at all, in my part of the world it will be very harsh on the deer population, but they didn't ask me.

Who knows. Maybe the old bucks will move in the daytime because of all the night pressure. In Georgia on private land you’ve been able to do it for a while and I can’t see a difference in the population.

I can understand your concern. In my opinion most deer poachers will poach no matter what the regulations are. Night hunting is very effective and enjoyable for hogs and coyotes. With the current turkey situation, any reduction in hog and coyote numbers will be good. My bet is that it will have less affect on the deer than you think but time will tell.
