That's a great story! Congrats on sticking with it and getting your buck. Feels so good to take a deer off your own land. Sounds like you owe your pup a deer steak dinner! Haha

Awesome Buck and what a good dog you have. The shot looked good to me, possibly only clipped one lung due to angle? Did you investigate the lungs / heart ?
