No idea why. I'm wondering if they don't have a few people tap-out quickly now and they want the show's season to run to a certain end date, so they needed to skip a week?? IDK.

Clay is kicking butt.
Ha. I like his "taxidermy". Looks better than some of the old heads I've seen hanging in bars!
 
I’m surprised clay hasn’t made a gill net yet. With his skills and watching all previous shows, you would think a gill net would be the number one thing to make after a shelter. Fish is where the nutrition is at. And having a net fishing for you 24hrs a day with no work on your part just makes sense to me. A fish basket is a waste of time in big water when you could have a net.
I liked that girls idea of a clothes line system for putting her hooks out. That with a net on it or several nets would be sweet. Tactics would have to change once the lake ices over. That’s probably when I would tap. Lol

Yeah he is!!! He's a machine. Bowhunter~ bow builder doin' a whole lotta whoop A$$!!! Love it. They're all good but Clay is just a grinder.
 
I've been watching these too. He's doing everything with his tools that he had on the series. Machine!!!

The rules of the lake say that they weren’t allowed to use a full net after a certain date which for the participants is day 45. I sure around day 43 all of the participants left will start making one. Lol
 
Man, I hope Clay isn’t giving up. No fish is really getting to him. I’m surprised he hasn’t made a boat, I mean like a Viking ship, with his wood working skills.
 
I can't believe all the effort to fish with that wave action all the time. Just seems very counter productive. These last ones are all super tough minded though I give them a lot of credit. I think they're all going to hang on for awhile.
 
I keep thinking whoever stumbles into the fish at this point will have a chance to win it. I’m pulling for Clay.

I agree, that’s why Colter has an advantage right now. Being able to deploy his Gill net off sure is a huge advantage. I’m also pulling for Clay but Colter has better fishing right now

I'd like to see Clay shoot another deer.
 
That Colter guy should spend more time using that boat to troll for fish. And I'm really surprised we don't see more snares this season, I think they were used effectively in previous seasons.
 
I wonder what the regulations are on the nets. I’d have a 100 yard run of nets lol. Nothing else to do all day. A boat sure would help to get to the drop off where the fish are.
In reality, I would have hit the button already for a hamburger. I don’t like
Mushrooms. No way I’d make it 2 days foraging.
I think once the snow comes and pushes the animals down, you will see more snares being used. Easier to find fresh trials in the snow.
 
You know it's sad to say but I haven't watched a single episode yet. I have seen every season except this one. I've been watching Clay's Youtube videos for a few years now I sure hope he finishes.

When he first started building that boat I thought he was making a huge mistake but he has proven me wrong. Every time he goes out in it though it makes me super nervous. I feel like one tumble into the lake and he’ll be forced to hit the button. High risk high rewards I guess.
