Alps Outdoors Turkey Vest

Ive ran this vest for 2 seasons 3 counting this year and I love it and I’m also considering running it saddle hunting to not have to have a backpack. If weight is a concern with the vest having the fold out backrest does make it very comfortable but it can be removed out of the vest.

Have you had any problems with the seat falling down while moving? I read the magnet was weak.

Yea the seat is an issue it doesn’t bother me much though I usually don’t walk a stupid amount but you could sew or glue Velcro onto it and to the back of the bag. I carry 2 decoys in mine so 50% of the times it is falling down especially with the decoys in it.

Okay, that’s what my concern was. I run and gun a lot and cover a lot of ground so that’s not gonna work. My vest has got some life in it still anyway. Thanks man!

I had one of these and the Cabelas Tactical Tat'r vest, both were great. I bought the Packrabbit for this season and love it more in testing so far.

This a cheaper alternative:

I’ve ran this vest for 2 seasons & hands down best turkey vest I’ve owned.... the magnets don’t consistently hold the seat up but there are easy work around for that. I’ll get you a pic next soon... not at all a deal breaker rest of the vest far outweighs it!

Neat alternatives to normal vests

This vest is amazing. But the magnets don’t work, period. Extend the straps that attach the seat to the vest for easy reach and you can snap and unsnap the seat conveniently. That’s what I’ve done and I am very pleased with this purchase.
