Alternative Method for Platform Attachment

Thanks Kelly. I have been using it all year too. It really has worked out well for me. I can get the platforms tighter than before while being quicker and quieter. I have to give props to @Nutterbuster though, his video for using it on steps gave me the idea to try it.
 
Has anyone tried 1/4 inch amsteel for this....timber hitch?
From the original post "The amteel I'm using is 3/16" although I've also used 1/4" and it works as well." In the video I used one each as I had 3/16" on one platform and 1/4" on the other. At this point I couldn't tell you which one was which though.
 
I have about 9' daisy chains on my steps. Keeping that in mind what length of Amsteel would I need to do this? I love daisy chains on my sticks...hate it on my platform

I have been using about 12’ Amsteel for Timber hitch platform attachment and that has been sufficient.
 
I like how someone always has a better way to do something. I appreciate all the input and I look forward to trying this out with my Solo Scout.
