Ameristep strap on step recall information

I would be very interested in knowing what a pack of 4 or 5 of these “paperweights” would cost me...

I can't sell them due to the legal and liability concerns. But anyone can take a stretch or picture to a local water jet source and see what they say. You can expect $40-100 each. If I were to sell them, which I'm not, I would have to mark it up from that for shipping, my time and effort.

Stretch was supposed to be sketch. Autocorrected again...

Couldn't help myself. Aluminum ameristeps cut with water jet with some modifications. I to was thinking what if I could market these but insurance and the small market makes it seem impossible. As I sit here in the rain in a pop up blind wishing I was in a tree.

1.25". That's how wide the ameristeps are. I planned on going thinner for weight but they had 1.25 stock from another job and I got a better deal that way.

Crap, I have three steps that have the 155 model number, there is no "08" on the steps that I can see. I was going to get a strap from stapworks with a ratchet and make a three step platform.

If they don't have the date circle at all then they are definitely pre recall

You can make a sand or wood mold and cast them in aluminum or you could 3d print them they make a printer that does a cast 23x’s stronger than steel

I have some steps that are both metal and plastic that are either Ameri steps or look alikes.
I have no use for them and would sell at a fair price.

I got my refund check a few days ago for the recall steps.
They paid 100% of my shipping cost, too.
Now I have a few extra dollars for gear...burning a hole in my pocket. Only problem is the hole in my pocket is huge and the money ain't!
