Amsteel whoopie for bridge?

When the bridge is at its longest....

When the bridge is shortened ....

it definitely works, running one right now. I still prefer a fixed bridge as I just dont adjust my bridge I know what I like and that dang tag end is ALWAYS in the way.

I get asked a lot how much Amsteel is needed to make a whoopie. What's the average length needed in 1/4"?

I decided to eliminate the caribiner but still wanted to control the tag end so I tied it off with a loop of 550. Still have locked brummels on each end.

I didn't measure mine so I'm not sure how much material I have....

I played around with one this summer but went back to a fixed webbing bridge. My plan was to use it short for srt, then adjust when on tether, but felt comfortable ascending with my normal bridge length

I'd say atleast 48" if you want a whoopie like mine that adjusts from about 16"-24" bridge and then maybe 60" and up if you want a much longer bridge. The end result of my whoopie sling experience is that I will also be switching to a fixed webbing bridge. The whoopie is nice, but I dont need it anymore.
