Any Cruzr Archon Questions?

  1. How is it for one sticking?
  2. What is new and unique about this saddle compared to the XC?
  3. Does it carry dump pouches, rappel kit, bow hoist other gear well or will it tend to sag?
  4. Warranty
  5. Price
  6. More for leaning or sitting?
  7. Does it have known, climb rated buckles?
  8. What works better with it for dump pouches attachment, tri-glides or molle straps?
  9. What do you like about it?
  10. What do you find needs improvement?
  11. Is it an improvement over the XC?
  12. Does it seem the same, better or inferior in terms of materials quality and workmanship than the XC?

I’m covering a good portion of those questions. The rest I’ll cover in a XC v. Archon video.

Here it is... the Cruzr Archon! Cruzr’s entry into the two panel saddle market does not disappoint. It improves on a lot of the shortcomings of other two panel designs.

Great review as always.
Looks like a nice and comfortable saddle. Definitely didn’t like that it takes two hands to adjust the panel straps

Looks like the panels are on strangle angles in the video. Looks like the top portion really digs into your lower back when sitting. Do you feel a lot of that top panel sitting?

It totally depends on how high up your back you place it and where the bridge is positioned on the bridge loops. In my experience with two panel saddles that movement along the bridge has a BIG affect on where you feel pressure.

Excellent review boss. Think I'll skip this one. One thing I don't see discussed enough and something you mentioned in the video, is the annoyance of changing clothes or using a hand muff. I found the Method to be overwhelmingly annoying in that regard

That’s a saddle problem in general.

Good review, in my 65 years I havent found anything perfect but Im looking forward to getting my Archon and enjoying the comfort and adjustability.

Very good review and thorough, really gave us a good look at it and much appreciated.
My first thought on the Archon when I saw the pics was that the two adjustable straps might be a pain to lengthen and shorten. After watching you use two hands to do it I'm wondering now how much of a bind us larger guys will be in twisting around to do that? Also wondering how well the saddle would function without the straps, while in the tree that is.

The adjustment straps are about as far outside as makes sense but I could see where they might be tough for some people. You could probably cut them off and use clips like the method if you sewed a couple small sections of Molle on the inside of the lower panel. G3D printing makes nice clips. https://genesis3dprinting.com/products/latitude-method-clips

That's pretty much what I was thinking, but instead of two clips, wondering if one in the center would suffice. One clip on top center molle and one small loop of cord on bottom center molle. The walk in and climbing would be the only time needed for this. With the bridge cinched all the way down then the bottom panel ends shouldn't sag. Then again maybe I'm over thinking it. I'm just a little over an hour from his shop, probably make a visit.
Thanks again for the video and taking the time to make it.

I have to agree, I think I like the idea of using clips instead of the straps.

Valerio, you mentioned 1 sticking as a question but could you in the head to head comparison of XC and Archon tell which one you prefer for 1 sticking and repelling and why?Looking forward to your next review, you always hit whats important. Also I do like that the leg straps are removeable.

What’s your channel? I may already be subscribed and just not know who you are.
I have a thread that would list everybody info like youtube channel and instagram and here is we could get more participation on it would be nice.

Guess I'll wait for the Transformer vs Archon review to ask any questions.

Great review, you addressed a lot of my questions. What is the status of the waist belt material change as you discussed it sliding too easily through the Cobra buckle... ? If they sewed a one inch or .75 in. flat webbing down the middle of the non-buckle side of the west belt it would probably provide the thickness needed to keep that buckle sliding so easily through the cobra buckle. I also wish it came with tri-glides for the extra waste belt length instead of that plastic keeper but that is much quicker and lighter.
