Any reviews of this saddle. The Cruzr saddle

On the verge of buying a phantom but then saw a video of this. I’m not sure if it would be better for a walk in or if while opened up that far down the legs would it squeeze your legs together more? I’m new to saddle hunting and it’s a big investment so far it’s the phantom but gonna hold off until I hear some more info

First question what’s your waist size? It doesnt open and come down your legs. The pleat is only a couple inches wide. It’s not terrible walking in. The Phantom ain’t all that great walking in either. The leg straps are to low in the front and don’t feel so good.

Well it seems like this thread and the new video reviews resulted in what I understand as the "saddlehunter effect" on the Cruzr saddles. Out of stock pending material resupply on the website.

I should have ordered one before I asked for a review. Oh well I have several other saddles.

The reviews were great. I doubt cruzr has the capacity to make as many saddles as Tethrd so if he gets flooded we may not see much availability. The phantom, H2, recon, flex and kestrel are all good saddles I just keep looking for the perfect saddle. The JX 3 suits me more than half the time. It is the other half I am working on.

Towards the end of mark dohrings YouTube review he says it almost comes down to his knees while he is seated and it seemed like that would kind of force your knees to come together. Just a thought wasn’t sure so I had to ask. I do appreciate the feedback thank you

he pulled it down like that.

Thanks for sharing.

Where did you get the testing unit? Are they usually available for rent? Can you share the exact thread you are using?

Thanks!

I would guess the “saddle hunter effect” will keep you pretty busy. Good luck.

Well got my cruzr XC saddle today and color me impressed!

First off, I ordered April 8th and received today so not bad at all as far as shipping.

@enkriss pretty much nailed it on his comments. Extremely comfortable and well made. Quality mirrors larger saddle manufacturers.

I did put my own adjustable Amsteel bridge on just bc I like playing with Amsteel and had the materials on hand.

I did get the, poop in the pants, feeling while walking around my yard but loosening the leg straps maybe 1/2”-1” it almost completely went away. (Mantis gave me this feeling too)

Also got the recliner. Easy to hook up through tether carabiner and one easy adjustment point. Packs up nice and small too.

*disclaimer - saddles I’ve sat in; TL ambush pro(modified) and Mantis (modified)

I’m obviously far from the most experienced or versed saddle hunter by any means but XC is most comfortable, second being the ambush pro with modified bridge and belt and last being the mantis that I found very hard to get comfortable in until I added the triad bridge and hooked leg loops to micro adjuster loop to change angle.
