Anyone gotten an overwatch yet?

I really hate that it appears I'm attacking this saddle. I am not I think other people will probably find it the most comfortable saddle they have ever sat it. Build quality is outstanding and you won't find better people to deal with. For me however I think that it boils down to the overall size of the Flex providing a much larger area to distribute the weight into. I wont say pinch but pressure especially in the triangle open area just before the 2 panels come together. I did play with panel opening width and bridge length. Like I said before I could hunt out of this saddle without issues I just find my Flex more comfortable.

Out of curiosity, what sizes are your two saddles?

I don’t think anyone took it that way.......

He made mine about 2 inches bigger,Which I believe he’s calling a size 2 I’m 6’2. Around 260 lbs with 38 in waist for reference.I’m extremely happy with mine for the short time I got to try it

Transformers only comes in 1 size.

As others have mentioned he now makes a larger size. That’s why I asked as I was curious if there is a size difference between your two saddles and whether that’s affecting the comfort. My transformer in size 2 is about as comfortable as it gets, and I’ve tried quite a few others.

Just got mine back today with the leg strap upgrade and sat in it again for about an hour tonight. The thing is fantastic. My latitudes will be going to the classifieds tomorrow when I have time to put up some pics.
If you don't mind, I'd be interested what was different between the latitude method and the transformer as far as your use and feel of each. I'm in the queue for my Transformer and waiting on pins and needles.

How is it walking? I like my kestrel. But it's heavy when I walk. I bought a Lattitude. A lot lighter, but the leg straps still pull it down while I walk, and they are hard to hook up and remove.

To me the two aren’t even in the same category. In my opinion the method has zero adjustability because it doesn’t have the floating d rings and the webbing is sewn to form the bridge loops and with nothing to hold the panels in place the bottom one never stays where you want it. Also I prefer to wear the transformer like a traditional single panel with the top panel slightly below my belt line, similar to the pic that he has on the website, which I could never make work with the method. Always had to have the top panel of the method in the small of my back which I feel is very restrictive. But I also never use a back band. The way I wear the transformer actually makes it more comparable to the classic which I really liked.

Thank you for providing all of that info, @St.CroixArcher. I knew your response was only going to get me that much more jazzed for my Transformer. I'll put a review here once it comes in the mail.

I just picked up one from the classifieds and had a test sit yesterday for about 30 minutes. Felt pretty comfortable. It “seems” half the weight of my Flex. I’m not sure about the bridge yet, I really like the web bridge on the Flex. I need to spend sone time with it and do a few SRT climbs but so far I really like it.

I’ve spent some time in my saddle by now & wanted to share some small mods I did to mine that made this awesome saddle even more next level.

1/ Took the right side waist strap half way out of its triglide and doubled over/stiched the end. Now it’s extremely easy to adjust with no worries of the strap coming out of the triglide. One less thing to fiddle with when wearing gloves.

2/ Added oplux short bridge right below main bridge using two scaffold knots. Keeps it in place without interfering with the adjustments of the main bridge on the d rings.

3/ Switched the continuous loop that connects the bridge from a prusik to a schwabisch hitch. This paired with the mini Kong figure 8 allows the bridge adjustment to break super easy after being loaded. The only thing is that if you run it suuuuper short for SRT or one sticking the tension from the tether can tend the schwabisch a little bit if you lean one way or the other. It’s really not a huge problem. And I use the secondary short bridge for those applications anyway.

4/ Just added some hockey tape to the leg strap buckles and selectively around the d rings. This thing makes basically no noise whatsoever now except for when you put it on and even then you can be silent if you take your time. I put mine on before going into the woods.

Can’t wait to hunt out of this saddle this year.

So I was trying to watch that face book message from the other day, but it would only play about 30sec and then stop. But looks like plenty of transformer saddles coming soon?

Yes. Jamie partnered with Mark from Treehopper. Together they can produce 100 saddles per month. They should be launching their first batch in the next week or two (if I’m remembering the timeline correctly....).

I read through a couple pages of this thread and noticed several comments with noise and the leg strap buckles. I used yak grips over my last saddle with leg strap buckles and it worked great at preventing any metal on metal noise.
