anyone receive a flat branch saddle recently?

Got an email from his wife today I had forwarded the AG email to them. She sent it from a new email. I will now be sending the AG that email. There is no way they are still waiting for buckles. I have plumbed out an entire 127 unit building and got all my materials in the same time frame

thanks for the heads up

cobra buckles are about the same price (I got one in the mail a few weeks ago from austrialpin) and there's a test where the cobra is actually stronger than raptor (also the tabs on raptor buckles poke your belly at times....i had extra cobra and raptor buckles and made my own belts out of climbing webbing....great belts).....the raptor buckles allow the webbing to begin to slip under a lower load than do cobra

there are several rated buckle options they could explore that are as good or better than raptor.....i'd prefer cobra buckles and would buy and mail them the 3 cobra buckles they need (if they would refund at least 50 bucks....i'd eat the rest just to get this dumb thing)

You’ve done some research ;)

Raptor buckles sewn down on both ends even on the slider bar pull test. Austrialpin does not. So it’s kind of cheating by sewing down the webbing on your slider bar end.Cobra buckles are in fact stronger and they hold the webbing better when you cinch it (which means no more saddle sag while walking as long as you use the correct thickness webbing with them) After a ton of testing and research, those factors are what led to the cobra buckles being the only thing not made in the US that I put into my saddles.

Even if they're having supply issues still( doubtful) they should be communicating with paid customers!
I work in purchasing and companies are most definitely still dealing with supply chain issues. We have components on order that are pushed out till the beginning of next year. sounds like they are just a terrible company with no communication.

So far I love the one that i picked up on here but i don’t think buying their products is much of an option in the future. What is a “like” saddle to the solitude 2 that i can plan on as my next saddle when i replace?

i haven't gotten it yet, but just ordered this

made by our very own @Fl Canopy Stalker

I heard Wood Hunting Saddles discussed before, but, as I told Fl, I just assumed it was a wooden version of a Jx3 or something

nope, it is what i wanted in the flat branch, it seems

something similar to a cruzr xc in terms of size, pleats, comfort but with wider webbing and comes equipped with climb rated buckles on the waist and both legs.....the deluxe i linked does all that

if i had known about that saddle, i would have never ordered the flatbranch to begin with

i'll post a review after i use it

Dear @raisins,

Please keep the best kept underground saddle maker secret. I would hate for people to know what you know.

I had no idea those were your saddles @Fl Canopy Stalker
Shhh it’s a secret lol
No seriously man I’m not on here to sale saddles or promote my brand. I’m here because you guys have great ideas and I value shooting the bull, joking with and learning from y’all. So you won’t see me posting a ton of “new news” in the vendor section or blasting the website. (We have Facebook, instagram and you tube to do all that)
If others share stuff that’s awesome. Besides there are several other members who make incredible saddles such as CGM @always89y and the Overwatch outdoors @JCLINE84 . I have saddles made by both of them and they are amazing as well. Thanks again for the kind words and @raisins you should be getting a tracking email Monday afternoon.
For everyone else, I cannot speak for Flat Branch but I do know that certain materials can be hard to come across even as Covid has slowed, but everything I’ve heard the solitude saddle is great so maybe it’ll be worth the patience when y’all finally start receiving them.

Yeah I was considering getting a saddle from them, & reached out via their FB page. It took 3 months to get a 1.5 paragraph reply, saying that they never intended for the FB page to be a major business page & yes they had materials & all orders were shipping promptly. I knew that to be largely wrong, just from the various threads.

So, no Flat Branch for me, simply based on their lack of honesty & communication.

crap....i used visa and not paypal....so it'll be harder to dispute charges if it comes to that.....gone are the days of good visa customer service
If it gets too bad I can take a short drive over there and knock on their door for ya raisins

I emailed them a few months back and asked about an aider. They assured me the turn around time would be short. I received the aider 6 days from time of order. High quality and just what i wanted. I can’t understand the lack of communication and completion on the saddles. It makes zero sense.
