I’ve been trying to find some good double step folding sticks and seen the new summit sticks. I know they’re a little heavy at 3.6 lbs per stick for a 31” stick. Just curious if anyone has them and how they compare to others.1594291742087.jpeg

Seems like you could cut them down to a 2 step stick. I was looking into the helium 20’s but everyone says they are having issues with them so I’m back to square one

As always. I don’t think they really have anything relevant. Aren’t all their hang ons super heavy as well?
I hate it for them, because they're an Alabama company. I'd love for them to really get into the mobile game. But they seem to prefer catering to the traditional deep-south treestand loving crowd. Nothing wrong with that. Just not something I have any interest in anymore.

I have their harness and love it. Wonder why they wouldn’t just make it into a saddle and sell the fire out of them

I used a summit climber quite a bit before the JX3 and even when the temps dipped and I wanted to use my IWOM last year. The best climbers on the market that Ive used so far.

I have summit, ol man, gorilla, sportsmans guide and lone wolf all climbing stands and my favorite is the lone wolf by far.

Summit is well built stuff. I cant break my old climber and i beat the living hell out of it. Only stand i will ever fall asleep in and i have quite a few times. Its the lazy-boy of tree stands. These sticks are way too heavy to attract any buyers in the saddle game but i guarantee they dont have the QC issues that hawk does. You can probably cut these down and drill out to get pretty close in weight. Although those step brackets look like theyre welded to the tube. Summit's "ultralight" hang ons are like 20lbs haha.

Dug up an old thread...

Does anybody have any first hand experience with these? Seem to be fairly competitively priced at a local dealer.

No experience. I do like summit products though. I have 3 of their stands that I still use. I loved my climber, but sold it once I got into the saddle.
