Not sure if it matters but the CT rollnlock works great on 8mm. Not sure why anyone would use the ropeman on oplux.

The SH Membership has gone live. Only SH Members have access to post in the classifieds. All members can view the classifieds. Anyone tried 8mm in ropeman 1?

I have used the big ropeman on my new resctech 8mm and it holds great, with at least 3 teeth outside the unit…..not even touching the rope under load. Just low level testing only so far, btw.. I just don’t like the sharp teeth that bite into the ropes. I wish they’d make a smaller ropeman 1 using the same blade type teeth instead of those sharp points.
Since it is so far out of spec, I ordered a hulk carabiner to hopefully fill some of that space. Til then I am using my elite 9mm for a separate tether. I have a heavy round steel biner that is twice as big around as most of my others, it weighs a lot and is a no name brand, so I dont use it but it filled that void. Now when I did use it, I’d have to open the ropeman all the way just to get it in there……diameter of carabiners have to be part of the equation

Got that hulk carabiner today and a few other toys from EWO! I put a micrometer on a the hulk and a few others. I really like the quality of the ropeman and I don’t see how the rope would just come apart or be shredded inside one. I will be using the mad rock hulk with the ropeman . The first carabiner is not the hulk, hulk is second photo. BTW- you can feel the quality of the mad rock, just like you can the ropeman……pretty sweet!
