Anyone using the Sitka Tool Belt ?

I love this thread! Thanks for the info, I'll have to get my hands on it all to get it figured out and set up. It kinda crushes you a little when you realize your "original" idea has been done already haha!

I attached front straps to loop on the belt that has buckle attached to the pack. I believe the buckles are for adjusting belt for smaller waist. The Predator pack is attached at top with gate keeps Marsupial gave me and attached at top of shoulder straps(having pack higher up on back makes it easier to grab platform while wearing). The back straps of the harness are weaver through Predator pack to prevent flopping around. My sticks lay on top of Tool Belt and secured to base of Predator Pack. The straps on the bottom of the Tool Belt hold my rolled up jacket. You could also use some compression straps on outside of Predator Pack if carrying bibs or whatever. Hanging the pack in the tree from the top of shoulder straps you can flip open Tool Belt lid and clip on to Predator pack with a small carabiner. This gives me access to everything inside Tool Belt and the Predator Pack becomes a dump pouch for clothing layers. I will try and get pictures up soon. So far I’ve really enjoyed it and like the versatility of the shoulder straps for running this setup or attaching to hydration bladder.

This the type of set up I'm trying to pull off. I'd love to see some pictures of this if you have some to share.

any chance you can post some pics? Thanks!!

I used a Marsupial Gear Yoke and a KUIU water bladder. Just had it out once and it seems to work just fine.

Thanks for the pics. That is a slick setup for sure. I was thinking of doing something similar with the Kifaru hydration pack. How are you attaching your sticks?

I use the compression straps that are fixed to bottom of Predator Pack and I have various straps/buckles Marsupial Gear provides and made some buckle compression straps. I could get away with only using two straps since these sticks lock together. I put all this together beginning of last season and figuring out what works best. The plus side to this setup is the many possible ways to configure it.

I have almost the same setup as I have the Sitka Tool Belt, and the hydration pack and yoke from Marsupial Gear. How did you attach the female buckles to the Hydration pack (located at the bottom of the hydration pack zippers) to be used as compressions straps? Those look like the same Marsupial Gear buckles that come with the pack. Did you re-stitch a female buckle to the tabs at the base of the zipper on the hydration pack?

cjenks0909 There’s compression straps at the bottom of the Predator Pack that I used. Is that maybe what you are referring to? I have an assortment of hardware I use to fit current needs. Most companies use this brand of hardware https://na.itwnexus.com

@WAC12 I was curious how you attached the female buckle to the marsupial gear hydration pack. Mine does not have buckles here just open loops. I looked in the meantime and maybe the Kifaru K clip buckles would work?

Correct, but you can make your own version of that by using the extra straps that came with the hydration pack and cut a slot on female buckle. The Marsupial Gear Buckle Delete video explains how to do this. Then attach that to the loop on hydration pack and then the gatekeeper on other end of the strap to other side of the pack.

This is how I ran my setup last season worked out great aside from the pred pack not being stiff enough to throw the platform back in while still up in the tree. Already coming up with another design idea for a better setup
