I always use the high pressure hand dryer at work to blow water off my eyeglasses after cleaning with soap and water, like at a car wash. It works well and is totally scratch free and you don't have to keep little microfiber clothes clean.

I want to replicate something at home with a small, inexpensive air compressor people use for air brush art, etc.

I'm concerned it won't blow water off well or that it might shoot oil or something on my glasses.

I'd appreciate anyone that has a compressor like this to wet glasses or something you'd think my replicate it (glass jar?) and then see if it blows the water off and is clean.

Thanks!!

I have one for airbrushing that I also use to blow air when I clean my guns. It just blows air nothing else, unless I put something in the airbrush hopper.

It won’t shoot oil, unless you add something to the air hopper… the pressure isn’t anywhere near an industrial air compressor but you can get some small ones that go as high as 50 to 65 psi….

I've heard of airbrush hobbyists using an inner tube or care tire, something like that, as an air reservoir. Good enough for hobby stuff but actual production would need a proper compressor. Refill at the gas station or 12v compressor in the car.
