I have this local to me that I'm planning to take a look at in a few days. I don't have a press, vice, or saw which this comes with. The picture I added is the press and what I'd get minus the power tool boxes below all for $200. Is that a fair price? It appears to be the Apple Pro model. The guy is a local cop that is moving to Florida. The press was his father's and he's clearing out of all his hunting stuff. Any thoughts and questions? I've got a couple Elite bows that are not beyond parallel or that I think would require anything specific from a press.

Yes, Apple Archery made some very good products. I have their catalog from 2001 and this exact press in not in the catalog. This is the closest.

Thanks for the replies. Seems like a deal then. Is the company still around in case I need parts? A Google search leaves me underwhelmed.

No they are gone. They made all of there products in the USA. They could not compete with the Cheeeepna imports. You may call it China, I call it Cheeeepna, the land of cheap.
If it is in good shape, you should never need a part, they made good stuff. I have two of their products and they will be here long after I am gone.

I would be really careful on which bows you use it on. You might want to check if the Elites can be use, why not take one of your bow and test it out first before making the purchase? A trend in the last few years are passed parallel limbs design even if they are not SAYING it is passed. Also limbs getting shorter too. I think almost every maker are going passed parallel limbs bow. This is a real common mistake people make pressing bows.

I have this press shown in the vid, it’s kinda slow, especially taking limb stops off and on, but it’s a real secure setup and overall works well.

Picked it up! Now I have to see if I can make it work for me. It is apparently the Apple Dual Super Pro Extreme Press and it came with the adjustable parallel limb bow adapters that supposedly. Its definitely seen some use but I'm hoping to get it going for some light use as my first press. I haven't found a manual on google other than a product catalog from 2011...any chance anyone here has a product manual for apple presses?!

I've got the apple edge press. Have had it for years and hasn't failed me yet. Just be careful how you press your limb tips. I haven't had any issue pressing probably 30 different bows.

This thread has me picking one up this week. $160 seemed fair. I will be happy to have a real press instead of the rope and pulley type.
