Are 2 blades actually bad for low lbs?

Sipsey,

The Razorheads still work. With trad gear, I have killed a couple of deer and a javelina with them, all without bleeders though. I am overcoming shoulder surgery from a whitewater paddling injury and still am not shooting my trad gear. So, I am using the razorheads in my compound this year, with the bleeder blades.

Man do I miss trad, but I sure like being able to shoot much better a longer distances. I have never had a problem with trad gear at 10 yards, and I usually get a shot at 10 and under every year. However, I have never been confident shooting at 20-25 with my trad gear. I have friends who are deadly out to 30, and more, but I fall apart at 20.

I am with the folks who say that if you hit a whitetail in the heart/lungs, it does not matter what broadhead you use as long as it is sharp, yes, even a stone head. The 2 keys are sharp heads and can you hit the boiler room with consistency. I have shot trad bows between 40 and 60 at my draw length and am convinced that at 15 yards and under, any broadhead will do the job if you do your job of shot placement. However, I am also in the camp of cutting more flesh leads to better blood trails. Exit wounds are great, but exit wounds with more cut flesh is even better.

If you are worried about penetration, I would shoot two blade heads. JMO

Hugh
