Blasphemer!!!
They are not hard to kill when you put the pointy end in the riblets.Blasphemer!!!
I think a key component in that discussion is the general area where that deer was killed compared to lots of other parts of the country. That area is part of tens of thousands of acres of hardwood river bottoms, most of which has been cut through to some extent. There is literally security cover for as far as most humans would care to walk. Big difference in that and lot of other areas of broken country with smaller woodlots where you might find a giant on a couple hundred acres that only has maybe 20-30 acres of security cover tops.I knew you’d like that. Truth though. You could tell that deer felt pretty darn safe where he was. He was reluctant to leave and got killed cause of it.

I agree older deer dont generally move far but it is hard for folks that havent hunted that country to understand exactly what it is like, same as I dont fully comprehend what tracking deer in the adirondacks is like. There are areas that are 2-6k acres cutovers with smallish areas of mature or maturing timber mixed in. No ag except out on the edges of the bottoms and over a 10k acre area the greatest elevation change wont hide a dwarf. Lots of sections will only have a single elevation line and the intervals on the maps for down there are in 5' increments. A half mile move in that world while not big can still be like changing counties in a lot of places.More reason the deer could have vacated. Older deer don’t move far, making them hard to find. The guy found one, and from what I get of the story, was a max of 1/2 mile between cams and encounters. That’s a small area if you’re hunting a specific food source.
28:40 wow he better check his pants I think he may have just conceived a virgin or three. Wasn't expecting that but it seems fairly genuine. Onto the recovery I hope he doesn't wake my kids again.
At least a third time…..no mention of checking trail cams, bringing in a dog…..keep up little buddy.
