Arrow build “middle ground”

I ended up middle of the road as well, anxious to shoot a couple deer this year (hopefully) and see how it performs.

Black Eagle X-Impact 300 spine 40 grain outsert 150 grain cutthroat. TAW approx. 450 grains 16% FOC

May eventually try to jump up to a 200 grain broadhead but really happy with the way it flies now.

I started using these exact arrows last year. Holy crap these thing penetrate! And they’re tough too. I lost one when I missed a deer last year but the others have all either seen the inside of a deer or a lot of practice shots and are all in perfect shape for this season.

I like the middle ground. I've never thought the either of the extreme ends was a good idea. 340 spine axis with 75 grain half out and 125 grain head. 490ish total arrow weight. Shoots through whitetails fine.

Interesting. We just went through this talk on the trad forum. I’ve long advocated the middle of the road. I can here simply to see if you all talk about the same stuff we do. It seems so. Glad there is somebody else that thinks like me.
