Arrow build for Whitetail and Black Bear

Hi, newer to archery/bow hunting in that I’ve been doing it for 3 years. I practice with my both 3x a week minimum year round. I’ve had some formal coaching to improve my shot. Ie, I still believe I’m a beginner but have some experience under the belt. I can shoot comfortably out to 45 yards (3” groups most practice days).

What I'm trying to learn more about now is arrows and arrow building. I want to be able to shoot a black bear at 20-30 yards if presented with opportunity, but hunt I whitetails primarily. Maybe one day an elk and mule hunt.

Would a 508 gr FMJ arrow with a compact fix blade at 240 FPS suffice for Bear? Would it be OK for elk? I know it’s fine for whitetail as I’ve knocked them down fine with this setup.

Ive done the heavier FOC stuff and not interested in it and have been advised against it based on how I can shoot. I’m very aware of Ashby and I’ve focused on the first two factors Plus the extra sharp blades; My Broadheads are strong steel and sharp enough to please ranch fairy and my arrows fly perfect.

I’m shooting a Bowtech Revolt X at 60# w/29.5“ draw; shooting Easton 5mm FMJ with 125 gr Tooth of the Arrow broadheads at 11% foc - 508 total grains.

thanks in advance

That is plenty, I shoot a 540grain arrow at 170fps from my recurve at 52# which would take down any North America big game animal.
SHOT PLACEMENT IS KEY on any animal.

Thanks! Yes as I dabbled in the EFOC stuff I found it just helped less accurate shooters By creating a more forgiving arrow at close range. Deadly accuracy and arrow flight With a strong sharp head between 10-15% foc seemed to top everything with a compound.
