I have a one piece Samick sage recurve that is 40lbs at 28. For those who shoot lower poundage bows like this, what are yalls hunting arrow setups?

Have the same setup and I am using 30 in 500 spine 150 grain point . New to this also and do not know if I am on track or not . Love to hear replies .

For my 40lb Samick sage I shoot 31" Victory V-Force 500 spline with 150 grain field points / broadheads. I add two 5oz brass washers up front because some of my BHs are 160. I tried shooting 400 spline arrows with heavier heads but couldn't get them tuned so went back to 500s.

I was shooting 3x 5" feathers but I got some Trade Vanes and fletched up some 4x Fletch 3" vanes... They are awesome. I'll be switching a bunch of my arrows to trad vanes now. They fly great. They're way better than the 5" feathers when it's windy and I'm sure they'll be better in the rain.... Anything beats a 5" feather when it's wet.

My wife shoots same bow in 45# and uses Cabela’s Stalkers in 400gr with three 4” feathers at about 3 degrees offset. She’s the same draw length but doesn’t pull the whole thing, she pulls about 24” of it. She shoots lasers at 25 yds.

I hunt with a 43# longbow a lot and use gold tip classic xt’s 600 spine cut too about 27.5 with 200 grain broadheads. I only draw about 26” so for me this setup has shot awesome from bows 38#-54#
