Attaching Predator to Saddle for Climb

I use a Cypher Ceres II wiregate carabiner fed through my molle loops on each side of my saddle. One side holds the platform and the other is a couple sticks strapped together. You can silence the carabiners with a little stealth strip material or just be careful opening and closing them.
I've used the plastic molle clips and have had them break getting them snagged on branches.
Another benefit using carabiners, I have backups if needed.

Question: anybody use 2-3 steps aligned with Predator platform to get better angles around the tree?
I use 2 or 3 steps from treehopper with an ocb strap from EWO. I set the the steps about 2 inches higher then the platform. Works great and the steps take up hardly any room in my pack.

Do y’all wear suspenders to keep your saddles from pulling down?

I bought a set of Tethrd suspenders to use this year. This is my 3rd year saddle hunting. I wear my saddle to/from stand and keep my ropes in storage pouches that are affixed to my saddle (so weight on both sides). I also have frog-butt syndrome (flat butt) and was having issues with my saddle sliding down during walk ins/outs. Suspenders provide TREMENDOUS improvement!!!

I bought the little “rigid” loops Tethrd sells and attached one about the 7 o’clock position. On the walk in i loop the tag end of my bridge through it so it isn’t hanging in front of me and once climbing the tree I hang my predator from it with a nite ize gear tie.

I use a large plasric s-biner and clip it to my linemans loop...easy and cheap

I position it so the top stick is 90 degrees clockwise from the platform, it’s sitting right under my hung bow. This lets me swing around the tree to cover basically everything but the 1-3 o’clock position pretty easily.

I looped a piece of 550 in the back of my saddle, and then added a small piece onto my platform with a beaner....no issues, gives you some "room for error" when reaching around your back.

Yes. Only way to fly. And I use a gear tie to hang my platform on when I’m going up. Gear tie lives permanently in between my two pouches on my saddle.

I have a Molle kidney belt attached to my platform, I carry it and climb with it on, I tether in so I'm hands free and unbuckle it when I'm ready to attach it to the tree. My platform is larger and heavier than a Predator but it stays out of the way and feels like nothing carrying it in this way.

I use kydex j hook on my saddle and a small gear tie on my platform. Gear tie works better for me then paracord because the gear tie stays ridged and holds its shape for easy behind the back hook up.

Yep, Genesis 3D hanger at the small of the back. It doesn’t come off until you mean it to, silent and doesn’t swing.

Also, you can then hook your outer layer under the hanger to keep it from riding up your back

My platform is in my pack on the way up the tree. For the decent it hangs from my saddle. I have a medium S-biner that lives on my saddle, I hang my platform from it for the ride down.

I have switched to one sticking but when I was using the platform... I would fasten the platform to my pack and once I got to the tree i would use a gear tie for easy access once I got to the desired climbing height.

I have a set on my platform strap…..it’s a hawk but still. Mine are at 8, 10 and 3 o’clock positions.

oh, you’ll love that genesis hook. Center back, but on your side is an option too.

I have a Nite-Ize gear tie tied to a molle on the back of my saddle. Looks like an orange pig tail on my saddle. I just poke it through a hole in the platform and give it a twist or two. I can reach back and untwist it with one hand.

I got a 3D hook. Used it for 2 full seasons. And will use it til I quit saddle hunting.
I climb the tree with my platform in my backpack so it’s not clanking around on the sticks on my hips, but definitely use the 3D printed hook on the way down. It lives on my saddle, never leaving

Man, I’d invest in a gear tie…..or a Lone Wolf Custom Gear Fix (With MOLLE hook).
