My 2015 Bear Traxx had it's first hiccup I noticed tonight. The bottom cam as 2 bearings and one lost a cover. It is to the inside and so I have no idea how long this has been going on because it was hard to see moving in there. I looked closely and I can see the ball bearings in it and a little grit. The bow still shoots fine and doesn't make any noise when drawn.

The bow is perfectly setup for me, so I'm leery of sending it off to Bear or trying to put a new cover in myself. I would expect a few twists to be different in my string once I got it back and my peep all boogered up and pointing in the wrong direction. I haven't tried to pop it back in myself. I did have my bow slide off my truck last year and hit that cam, that's probably when it happened.

Is this a big deal? I'm tempted to ignore it and just shoot some lubrication in there once in a while. I wasn't going to buy a new bow next year, but when/if I do then this bow will be left intact and be my backup rig.

Thanks for any insights or experience with this. I emailed Bear.

Don’t shoot it. Take it to a dealer. Not a hard fix and not worth risking more damage or injury. The bow will most likely need to be retuned no matter what but thats not difficult either. Good luck and be safe.
