Back bands…..what’s your set up?

Never used a back support before so I don't know how much weight gets put on one. Do you trust those straps on the back rest? I know if they'd break you are in a saddle but wondered how they held up? That is a genius idea and will be giving that a try!
Mine was going to be a new DIY saddle so the climbing sling bridge is good for 24kN and the back band itself is good for much more than that.

You will see mine in the classifieds soon. I have a XC tired a theathrd back band a couple times It just add anything for me.

I have the Aerohunter one that attaches to the bridge with small prusik knots. I didn't use it my last few hunts and didn't see much of a difference honestly.

I like my AH one alright.

I have the "Weldabeast backrest" too, but used it mostly for Turkey hunting. I got a Millennium turkey seat, and it sits around now. I don't want for it with my saddle setup, but it is great if you need fuller support. It's springiness is nice.

TX-5 backband is sweet, I have like 3 of them, but my favorite is actually from @DanO, not sure why he isn't selling them. It's simple 5/8in or 3/4in webbing with a g-hook. Same material as the micro suede pouches. I like it to go through tether carabiner.

This I trust and almost consider it a backup to my saddle or bridge... Camo matches my Kestrel Flex.

If you swapped out the g-hook for like a rated frame buckle (like @JCLINE84 does his leg straps) I would trust it more. It would be more difficult to loop through the buckle then the g-hook, but I could see that being an ideal setup and more of a true backup when routed through your tether carabiner. Backs up saddle and saddle bridge. If I fall it would give me something to grab onto. I often wear my backband.

I have an AH back band, still brand new...never even tried it. Never saw a need.

Latitude method. No need for a back band. I used a back band with my flex it actually kinda annoyed me and quite using it after a hunt or two.

If you’re going to trust it completely then the webbing needs to run the full length of the back band. I don’t know if this one does or not, but many are just sewn to the cordura on each end. And yes those rated slides would work really well, they are the same slides I use on the knaider and swaider

I'm using an EWO Battle Belt above my saddle and both are attached to the upper part of a military lbv. It hits me perfect for a lumbar support so I hook into my back up tether with it.

Added a Dryad Drey to my New Tribe Tengu and moved comfort to a new level! Was running the Petzl but the Drey adds support that I got from the Podium as well as a lunge chair.
