After I made my Wraptor saddle I knew I had to come up with a way to hold it up easily and a way to store my lineman rope and tether. I researched various battle belts and found one made by OneTigris. It has three rows of molle, but most importantly it is segmented which allows my lineman loops to be at the right position.

You can easily suspend your SitDrag or Wraptor from this belt in several ways. I just made a quick 1" webbing loop and used the 1" oval sliders to secure it in the molle loops. For a SitDrag, you could just sew the 1" webbing right to the SitDrag. I can hang my pouch for my lineman rope on my left side and pouch for tether on the right side. You'll see in the pics that I added web dominators to secure the Wraptor buckles while walking. Planning to mount a holster too.

The battle belt comes with an internal 2" belt and buckle but I took that out and made a DIY belt with lineman loops out of 2" seatbelt webbing. It is all one piece and the loops come out one of the segments at the perfect spot for me. There are three folds of the 2" webbing sewn together that allow the loops to be made - just folded the webbing in on itself, sewed them tight, then pulled 1" tubular webbing over for abrasion resistance in the loop. Finished off the belt with a dual-adjustable 2" buckle from ITW. Will be swapping out for a dual-adjustable rated cobra buckle, but wanted to test it out first. The tag ends can be tucked back into the battle belt as well so they are out of the way.

Working on sourcing the battle belt direct but not sure there's enough demand to meet the minimum order. Let me know if you're interested.

That’s pretty much the exact set up I have been using with my sit drag for years. It is very comfortable. Makes a great linesman, back band, and carry all.
Will you be selling them with the linesman belt in them?

If I can get the battle belts, yes, I can have some of these belts made up.

The battle belt is why I use a stock sitdrag with an Amsteel bridge. Nothing else needed. Mines black but I would like the brown better

Honestly I wouldn’t limit it to DIY I think I would still use it with a Mantis or kite. I haven’t used it with the Kestrel I think it all together would be too bulky

Any leg loops planned? I am trying to get a sit drag configured. I have a heavy 2" nylon belt with a plastic buckle and just loop a dyneema sling through the end loops with a carabiner for safety to become a rated buckle when used with the sit drag. I need to figure a way to attach the sit drag to the belt in a high strength fashion.

Sounds like you are way over thinking it. IMHO

Just curious, but doesn't this add significant bulk and weight to the Wraptor, which are some of the major advantages of the system? This seems like a concerted step back toward the more traditional saddle platform. Thoughts @DanO?

I am way overthinking safety? How is that possible? A sling is the lightest piece of equipment you are likely to find.

Either way I think a lineman belt is necessary when using the Wraptor or any saddle. Commercial saddles have this built in but when using a SitDrag, Wraptor, or fleece saddle you should probably be using some kind of lineman belt or rock climbing harness with loops. Since you don't need a RCH with the Wraptor, this fits the bill for the lineman belt and isn't very bulky. This battle belt is one of the minimalist styles. Next best would be Ernie's belt or a belt from Treehopper but then you can't hang pouches off of those.

Why not just run off of your bridge loops though? I do that in my saddles more than using lineman's loops. Your point is clear though, more safety with less bulk. I like it!

The Wraptor needs something to hold it up or an elastic strap to keep it up while walking. If you take that off to use as lineman loops I was afraid it would just be too loose while climbing when slack was introduced. Keep in mind, this is mostly theoretical as I haven't hunted with the Wraptor yet. Only walking around the house and a little in the yard. Still not walking 100% and not up to climbing trees yet :(
