Nice seat belts. Do you get the seat belt webbing new? Where?
Many people on Amazon mentioned the sizing of the Battle belt is too small. Check this out before buying.

I'm a size 36-38 waist and the Large belt is perfect - would fit much larger guys as well.
The seatbelt webbing comes from a site that I can't mention because I'm affiliated with them. Might be a hint in my signature though.

If I build another Wraptor, I would be sure to go to doublesteps.com and get some webbing and rings!

Snapped a few more pics of my setup. I'll be improving the loops from which the saddle hangs on. My first attempt at the LB came out to short, but functional. When I make the Dano inspired 2.0 version, I plan to tweak that. At this point there doesn't seem to be much point in the saddles belt and leg straps...

Building another one here soon. Really like the belt idea, completes the package so to say. If you are looking for the materials to make one summon the Google and look for doublesteps or Eastern Woods Outdoors (same thing). Great folks and service and I’d bet ya they have everything minus the belt to get you set up. Oops someone already mentioned that...but it no harm in repeating.

Redid my linesman’s belt like Dano’s and tucked away the leg straps. With this setup I don’t feel I need the leg straps for anything. Where the Mantis hangs also seems to be just the right height for comfort. Feels good carrying/walking to the tree in all this. Climbing is great. The battlebelt can be bulky when sitting in the tree. I had to loosen it some to relieve the discomfort. Don’t think that will be a deal breaker though.

You are using the Mantis exactly the way I have been using the sitdrag. Straps and all.
Which linesman do you have in your battle belt? Or did you make it?
Do you put your linesman in you carabiner with your bridge? And use it for a backband?
If you unbuckle your battle belt when you lean forward to get your weapon when a deer comes, it will slide down to your waist make you shot easier. IMHO.

Does anyone have pics of this mod on their sit drag yet? Would be good to get a visual reference of how it would work.

I will have to try that as a back band!

I own a mantis, and at times, i struggle to keep it low enough to be comfortable. I often wear it "plumber's crack" style, on the lower half of my butt. would I be correct in looking at this mod and assuming it would make my manits ride lower on my butt if i wore it in the way you folks are showing it with the battle belt? I have also been toying with the idea of losing the leg loops too, does this also make those less relevant? excellent work guys! the battle belt has my interest!

Yes, it would work that way just like @pesqimon shows above. I originally was looking at this just for those saddles that don't have a built-in lineman loops (Wraptor, SitDrag, Fleece, etc), but no reason you can't use it with any saddle to take the load of pouches/holsters and transfer it to your hips. Keeps your saddle from sagging and lets you wear the saddle where you want.

If I didn’t already have a Mantis, not sure I’d be looking for one, after trying the battlebelt. With the weight on the belt, the Mantis doesn’t flop around so the leg loops aren’t doing anything. Even the Mantis’ belt is of questionable value.

Still early but I am liking it so far.
