Battlement From Wild Edge & OOAL

In all fairness though, I think its a nice looking platform. My guess is that it's solid to the tree and really functional. It might be too wide for me though (my only complaint about the RR too).

Maybe, but I don't know how it could hold any tighter to the tree than the RR. I can straddle the tree from behind on my RR and not kick it off the tree.
I guess my comment was more along the lines if slightly more foot-room on the side, and a slightly better traction angle from the rear.

By no means game-changing, but it's all I've got. I also don't really use a platform so this is very much manufacturing whatever marketing angle I can think of to justify two very similar products.

It appears like it might be slightly deeper too. given the "wings" are offset from the tree more. Sort of a RR XL. Not for me personally but there may be a niche for it.

A niche of a niche doesn’t sound like a money maker haha

It does seem handy using as a climbing method with the way the platform folds up and still remains solid to the tree. Hook an aider through a small drilled hole on that c-channel and away ya go or the rubber coated hook on the WE step aider over the top of the c-channel.

I'll echo the "looks nice but no incentive to replace my RR" sentiments.

I think the one biggest thing Matt could do to improve on the RR is to make the attachment method more packable. It's a rock solid method that takes side pressure easily, but it adds a lot of thickness to the overall package when folded.

I was looking at the scout just the other day...and thought- "Add the perch to that and a guy would be SET!" 180 bucks IS a lil much for what youre getting. Though.

I just received my Ridge Runner and Ridge Runner XL to check out, and now this piques my interest... Dang it! I just sold my Perch because of the fiddle-factor.

I don't need this, it's too much like the Ridge Runner... I don't need this, it's basically a Ridge Runner... I don't need this, it's similar to the Ridge Runner... I don't need this, ...
