Bear Archery (THP Adapt)

Little update on my direction. Was looking into the Adapt for a budget friendly bow. Wanted to switch to a single cam. Because of my obsessive behavior to search out every possible angle, I came across a brand new Whitetail Legend at a archery shop online. I can't be for sure but I'm thinking allot of the design of the Adapt came from this bow. Anyway, I bought it, it was sent to me and shoots awesome. To my door for under $380!

I’m looking at this bow - the Bear Adapt - for my first bow. There’s a Hoyt Torrex for almost twice the price that is presumably higher quality, but for a first bow, I’m not sure the additional money is worth it yet for me.

A Bear is a great first bow.

Nothing wrong with a Bear. Have owned several, currently shooting a Whitetail Legend. Cheaper than the Adapt, but really the same bow. I purchased mine through Mikes Archery. You can PM if you have any questions. Might be able to remember a discount code even. Good luck

I bought one a few months back and plan to hunt with it this year. I haven’t shot it much aside from at my basement target from 3 yards away but there is a lot to like about that bow.

Anyone using the Adapt or in my case Bear species Ev single cam? When the bow is maxed out timeing mark is on and ATA is good brace hight is good. When you lower the weight 10 pounds and change the dr length at 25 the marks are off. I was told by my archery shop it's ok to be off and if you do change the timing at low weight and dr length the dr length will be off? Any one know about this?? Thanks

Has anyone experienced the bottom cam rubbing on the cable with these bows?

Mine does at full draw. It’s very slight and I think it could be resolved with a couple twists on the yoke but I haven’t tried it yet. I also have a tap titanium roller glide instead of the stock one and I think it orients the cable closer to the cam. Might be part of my problem.

My bear species Ev has the same cam I changed the cable slide with AAE slippery slide and added some top wheel lean so at full draw the top wheel has no lean at full draw. My archery shop is saying the single cam ware the cable at the bottom some.My Matthew's switch back xt did the same thing on the buss cable next to the bottom cam. I still can't find out if the two holes at the top of the cam are the timing marks? Screenshot_20230720-191653_Chrome.jpg

I just spoke with Bear archery the round holes on the bottom cam are not timeing marks they don't have any!! the same cam is on the AdApT And species Ev so brace hight and ATA is it!! and they should have some top wheel lean at brace.Screenshot_20230720-191653_Chrome.jpg

Sounds like I should be able to remedy that slight contact whenever I decide to get around to it. Shouldn’t wait too long I guess since I plan to hunt with it this year.
