Anyone know anything about the Bear Creek area?
It seems very quiet. Is it?
Where’s the closest large towns for work? I’m a controls electrician
Crime? Drugs?
Anything I should know?
Close by attractions?
Any must sees?
It seems like it’s 1 hr from anywhere! Not sure if I love that or hate that!?!? Lol

I found out buying house/land there I still cannot hunt / fish it without buying an non resident hunting license? That’s BS! Whom do I need to contact?? Might be time to raise a stink being a homeowner, paying taxes I should be able to do as I please on my slice!

Any information would be appreciated.
Pm me if you want instead of open forum.

See you in a tree, Ricky

That area is way outside my stomping grounds.

Your agent should be able to tell you if there's an easement. Probably is if there's a maintained driveway. We have a guy who accesses his property through our lease.

I live in tuscumbia, about 30mins away. lot of hunting clubs around bear creek area. you have got BCDA land around upper bear and little Bear and cedar creek reseervoir. Good hunting and fishing. my nephew is in bear creek hunting club.

I use to drive thru there and pick up back hauls to head back south when I was OTR. I always liked it, seems quiet and seemed it would be some good deer hunting in the area.

I’m in north Alabama but over in Madison county. I can tell you this, you rarely see any big crime stories from the area, but a guy I work with says there is some petty theft from drug heads etc. if your not there full time, put up some security measures. The lakes are really nice, decent fishing, clear water. TN river is close, several WMA’s in easy driving. Can’t help with the licensing issue, doesn’t seem right but I don’t know the answer.
Best work will probably be in Decatur and Huntsville for industry. Toyota manufacturing will be online in a year or so.
