Anyone have some good bear recipes? I Have over 80lbs left in the fridge, and the wife is sick of burgers and chili, and she doesnt love it in general. No roasts left. shoulder, loin, backstrap, stew, burger, round
Thanks and Cheers!

I have the book Buck, Buck, Moose, which might have some bear recipes. I'll check when I get home on Monday.

Make some pulled bear sandwiches. You can pick from any number of pulled pork recipes online, make home make bbq sauce or pick up a bottle of your fave.

I usually just brown a shoulder roast (but any of your meat, other than the ground) in a searing hot skillet with some oil, then into the crockpot at like 220 for 6 or 7hr with some broth, onions and peppers and seasoning. Then pull the meat out, shred it, add a bunch of bbq sauce, stir and serve on buns with beans and coleslaw sides.

Sweet and spicy recipes seem to compliment bear meat well!

THANKS! That is a great idea, it does have the same texture as pork to a certain extent.

I would think anything you do with pork would be good with bear meat. Here is something that looks decent from allrecipes.com

I made a lot of my dad's bear into sausage. Summer sausage, hot sticks, brats, etc.
