Beast stand - part2

My calves start cramping up for some reason if my feet are on different levels.

Edit: I’m referring to being stationary for any meaningful amount of time

That happens to me from the lack of toe room on a stick. Not really having feet at 2 different levels.

Exact same for me. I find adjusting linemans belt length eases calf cramp some. Believe we're both using One's.

Okay… so I figured I would post this here.

I have tried several beast stands. Some did not make much noise, some popped and squeaked. I could not figure out why or what caused it.

Also, a problem I had was small diameter leaners the stand would not set properly.

Fast forward to March 2024…. I decided to try another. I noticed some updates…

No longer are they drilling weight reduction holes in the post. They also moved the beast offset bracket up about an inch to another hole.

That move actually substantially helped with camming. It completely cured the issue I was having with small diameter leaners. It sets perfect quickly and easily on any tree I try. I also, haven’t noticed any noise with this one.

Downfall to the bracket move though. If you use the beast rod the sticks will move back and forth because they are not butted up against the bracket.

Much improved camming…

Even if all infalts customers vanished overnight you've single-handedly kept him in business

You know…. That’s possible…. I lost count years ago how many beast sticks I have had.
Im afraid to ask how many beast stands you’ve had and how much $ you’ve spent on them. I bought one last year and lost it in the same year because I forgot I didn’t put it in the car and just drove off. Still mourning that loss and the $ lost on that dingaling move. Interesting changes. Didn’t think the design would continue to evolve. Sounds like you like it better than previous versions.

Keep us updated on the noise. I guess there wouldn't be quite as much vertical pressure on the antler bracket?

The noise imo was caused by a combination of how deeply the beast bracket bit into the tree and the high amount of flex in the stand which caused the bracket to shift around whilst embedded deeply in the tree. I replaced the beast bracket with a lone wolf bat wing on my old style beast stand which fixed the noise problem. Looks like they’ve improved the design since I bought mine.

Mine hasn’t squeaked since I changed out the bracket from the original to the beefier one. I don’t cam it super hard. I just pull it down as hard as I can by hand before stepping on the platform and it’s fine for me.
