I kept out of commenting on the stand till I had some decent field use with it. Nothing reveals flaws like the field does. Ive been walking with it on my back while putting out the cams and checking others. I've set it on roughly 30 trees now of varying thickness, and have done 2 observation sits over clear cuts. I'm positive it's the best stand on the market by a significant margin. Some initial concerns I had such as the bracket design and flex are completely alleviated.
I think Jason has the right idea of filing a 45 angle on the beast bracket helps on locking the stand w/o toe hooking! He also files the platform teeth 45 angled.I kept out of commenting on the stand till I had some decent field use with it. Nothing reveals flaws like the field does. Same here. I read a lot of concerns about platform flex but after testing it’s zero concern for me. I’m 215 lbs and wasn’t exactly easy on it while testing and have no fear of standing at the edge of the platform if needed. If it was cast I would be seriously concerned but being machined the metal properties are obviously much more favorable.I kept out of commenting on the stand till I had some decent field use with it. Nice setup! Where does one buy those sticks? ;-)My entire setup, everything beautifully tucked behind the stand so there's zero snag factor. Can't wait for the season View attachment 50272

If you go back and look at pics of the beast stand from years ago, he was using the same antler bracket then as he is now( he did use a LW batwing in the very beginning). I assume there's a reason he didn't put an angle on it.This is the beast bracket that Jason from tbwpcast filed the 45 angles on he said it worked great no toe hooking needed and he 45 angled the platform teeth.View attachment 50286
Yeah but they went back and added it to the sticks because some were bending if you didn't set correctly. My beast stand works great but on some bark it grabs and is harder to toe hook.If you go back and look at pics of the beast stand from years ago, he was using the same antler bracket then as he is now( he did use a LW batwing in the very beginning).
