I think I ought to be able to find a little info in there...haha! Appreciate the info.

What kind of backpack are you guys using to carry your sticks, platform and other gear to and from the woods?
I just ordered an Eberlestock X2 with Butt Bucket. I am hiking in 1.3 miles and I can carry my sticks/platform and bow on my back with this pack.

Have mine and sticks for sale now due to a medical issue. It works spectacular for carrying sticks. http://www.saddlehunter.com/community/index.php?posts/460258

If the job called for packing out meat would the X2 fit the bill? Have enough room for layers after being loaded with sticks and platform?

Could pack out meat for sure, but if you had it loaded to gills with extra clothes it would probably be tough. But I've had it out about 4 times and can definitely see packing out a deboned deer with and extra layer. Of course you could always strap the extra layers on the outside of the pack.

So far, I am happy with my purchase. I got the mountain color. It's a little greener than the video portrays on Estocks website.

Just used the Eberlestock X2 pack and had everything in my saddle arsenal along with a Bennelli wing strapped into the right side with absolutely no issues.

This included a predator xl platform, saddle, ropes, gear hanger, knee pads, extra jacket, ammo, kill kit, yeti rambler, extra gloves, hand warmers, headlamp, extra flashlight, cell camera, extra paracord, 2 extra cranford steps, 4 lone wolf sticks cut to 24 inches, extra hat.

This will be my 3rd season with an Eberlestock X2. Its a nice compact pack yet robust enough to handle all of my saddle gear (Predator platform and LWCG double sticks) plus anything else I can stuff inside it. I have literally put this pack through the ringer and it barely has any signs of wear. I would definitely buy another and recommend it to any saddle hunter.

This will be my first using using it. Iv'e done a few climbs in the back yard and I love it so far

When I used a pack like the one above , I would tend to take more than I needed . So now I only have the tethrd predator pack with two small pouches strapped to them. It’s light weight and carries only the essentials . The sticks strap to the bottom of the pack and so far hold on pretty good . For any longer hunts I’ll load the Alpz outdoorz pack ,it’s comfortable and holds a lot of gear but again that’s only for long hunts .

I ran the Eberlestock X2 for years and don’t have a bad thing to say about it. I did find myself taking more things with me than necessary though. This year, I’ve downsized to a Tethrd predator pack with a Spanker hydration pack attached. Running 5 WE Stepps with a Knaider which fit easily in the hydration pack. Significantly lighted my load and reduced the footprint on my back.

Still have the X2 though, so if I get the itch later in the season I could see it coming back out.
