Hey all.
This is my first year to saddle hunt and have done quite a few mods and tweaks to make things quiet or efficient. Im looking for your opinions on the best way to hang your pack, bow and quiver. I had big metal hangers but it definitely adds weight. I just ordered a tethrd HYS strap. My cousin uses a HYS strap with DYI kydex hangers for his bow amd quiver to hang on a strap. What works best for you all? Thanks all!

Private land.
Bolts for climbing, bolt for hand holds and bolts for hanging. Bolts keep the tether from sagging, and double as hangers, and serve as hand holds for climbing into a preset.
And bolts are all the same...no worries if I need an extra hanger, or foot rest, etc.one item serves multiple purposes.

Amsteel daisy chain with aluminum NiteIze ropejam around the tree. Bow hanger on the amsteel daisy chain is the Genesis 3D hanger. Pack clips on a large NiteIze S biner on the amsteel. Quiver hangs from my pack.

I use a homemade amsteel daisy with (2) nite-ize plastic s-biners for my pack and quiver and found a heavy duty plastic hook for my bow. Since you have the HYS inbound, get a few plastic s-biners and it'll work fine.

My lineman belt cinched around the tree, with nite-ize #4 s-biners. One s-biner has the mechanism removed on one side, and a bit of orange tape in the center, that holds my bow

I had a HYS strap and didnt like it. To bulky. I mad a amsteel daisy chain and sewed a piece of webbing to it and use a G hook to tighten it.

This is what I'm using. I went to this from a daisy chain. It's simply a piece of paracord with a couple of paracord prusiks on it and half of a $2 cable cuff from Home Depot.

I like this idea

Thanks. I wanted to switch to a daisy chain but I watched this video
I hang my pack from the tail end of my current HYS strap and as he shows that doesnt work real well with the cam jam thing. The G hook holds the HYS strap nice and tight so went that route. I made it this summer so havent tried it yet.

Hello. My name is mnfarmhunter and I have a problem...

It's been a few weeks since I substantially changed something and this thread found my weakness. I had a Tethrd T hook, a heroclip and a stitched webbing strap from one of my Hawk Heliums and changed everything up. I threaded the T hook onto the webbing and stitched the end over so it doesn't pull off. I think I like this better as it offers the adjust ability of the HYS while packing as small as an amsteel daisy.

Give it a month and I'll probably switch things again.

Well I've had a video on my gear hanging system done since April but I wasn't entirely happy with it so I thought I'd get a chance to re-shoot it. Well, I've come to the conclusion that's not gonna happen so here it is. Shout out to @always89y for the idea on using the cable cuff. Thanks Jerry!

Like this idea…. It’s small too

Remember how I said I was always changing things...

I decided to try my hand at sewing so I've ordered some 3/4" webbing. My plan is to sew a loop in one end, use the Tethrd T-hook to cinch it down and have (2) kydex j-hooks to hold my bow and quiver. I do like Latitudes pack strap idea and I may adapt that as well.

I do like the webbing better than the amsteel as it holds the j-hook tighter. However, the versa strap welded sections hang up on the t-hook and am looking to smooth that out.

1/8 inch X 2 inch X 2 inch aluminum angle 4 inch length with 5/16 inch X 4 inch hex head bolt with head cut off, nut on each side and stealth stripped. Made for hanging recurve. Roller Cam buckle added to old Hawk strap.
