"Best" Saddle for one sticking?

I tried using my one stick tonight and while making my first stick move up I realized my Phantom didn't feel so comfortable when hanging by the tether with nothing underfoot. I'm thinking I'll try again with the leg loops tighter to see if it sits a little better and more like a RCH next time.

Which brings me to the question. What saddle are y'all using to one stick climb being the you're just hanging there in between moves?

I like my recon, I think the 2 panel design makes it feel almost like sitting in a lawn chair, with one panel under and one on lower back

The 2 panel makes sense with the 2 points of support. I have a Trophyline Ambush pro, that is what ill be using this year for one sticking. I've done some near ground repelling in it and it doesn't feel bad.

Recon. Also with leg loops and a really short bridge. The 2 panels support your butt and your back when the positioning requires it. Most single panels are designed for leaner so you have to ride it lower then what you usually have it 'dialed' in for leaning. But to be honest, I see a lot of the more comfortable single panels are so big that they are as big as 2 panels fully deployed. The Phantom is one of the smaller single panel either way.

The Transformer seem to be designed for SRT and One sticking if you are considering a two panels. But the Recon is my only mistress.

Out of all the saddles I’ve tried, the phantom was the least comfortable one sticking/SRT.

all the other ones were great:
-Cruzr xc
-transformer
-recon

I haven’t one-sticked (one-stuck?) with a tx5 reaper but I did sit in a buddy’s the other day and I feel like that would be similar to the phantom, if I had to guess.

waiting on some gear still, but up next are the drey and flat branch outdoors solitude. I’ll report back when I actually get my next one stick build completed.

Interesting, guess it all comes down to body type and personal preference. I was not a fan of 1 sticking in my Recon or Method. The two panels just don't want to stay in place with all the extra movement. So, I picked up a TX5 and find it to be perfect. It stays in place and is by far the most comfortable saddle I've owned.

So I was wondering if the two panel would be better based off the design of them and it seems like that is the general consensus. I've never used one so that's the next one I'll try.

If there's more members that have tried others please chime in! I don't think I've seen this particular topic come up yet so if people like me are trying out one sticking this year I'm sure they would like the info.

My first ever attempt one sticking I dropped my stick on the first move and got stuck for what seemed like an eternity hanging from my tether in my old TL Ambush. That was a painful experience and hopefully you can avoid it because those leg loops are not soft on the inner thigh after a long hang.

I will keep that in mind thanks for the advice!

JX3 has been the best for me because it holds you in place and you are relaxed while moving the stick

I much prefer a 2-panel for 1-sticking. Keep belt tight and shorten bridge and I have no problem keeping it in place with no riding up. My experiences only.

My Kestrel's work good as long as I one-stick in 'low rider' mode with them.
Latitude Method is great for one-sticking for ME.
Transformer is the most comfortable for ME for one-sticking and hanging...

Well I just bought a latitude method of the classifieds so I'll test that one out and report back.

I plan on getting a 2-panel to try out for next year.

I'll probably get flamed for this but I swapped out my Aero Merlin for a Tethrd Menace as I for it more comfortable when hanging SRT or 2TC. The Merlin is a great saddle and had many features I liked compared to the Menace but the latter is simply more comfortable to sit in overall. However, I also expect the 2-panel saddles would be even more comfortable as it's more like a bosens chair compared to a leaning butt hammock.

You’re out of your mind lol Everyone has their own fit so it isn’t too surprising. If your body doesn’t fit the sizes on the pleat saddle they won’t be as comfortable.

Cruzr XC #1
RC Harness #2
Tethrd Mantis #3

Cruzr with the pleat has lots of butt room and you want to be hanging from your butt, not your legs. My leg straps are always kept very loose, to the point where they really do nothing for me.
