BIBS Recommendation: Sitka v. First Lite v. Budget

This has got me thinking... I have several friends who use the cabelas extreme bibs and parka. They claim that all that is needed is the parka as it goes down nearly to your knees.

I purchased some cabelas Extreme stand hunter coverall's a couple of years ago and they're without a doubt the warmest piece of clothing my tush has ever touched. I have debated on cutting a little slit where my bridge would come out and I think I would be able to wear my saddle with them.

I could use a carabiner on my bridge with a prussic and just insert it through the hole when that time comes.

Anyone ever modified their clothing to make it where they could wear their saddle with it?
 
I have the First Lite Solitude bibs and jacket. I think with proper layering, these will last me through all seasons in NY. My only gripe is plastic buckles on the bibs - they feel somewhat cheap and I'm concerned they will break.

Other than that, I love the FL Solitude stuff and their merino baselayers. I'm betting the Sanctuary set is great too.
 
Wakey wakey. I’m looking for some bibs, didn’t want to open a new thread so hope it’s cool I’m woke this one up. What are your guys current setups? I’m in the market for some serious cold gear. Thanks!
 
Has anyone tried badlands pyre bibs? I’ve seen them on sale past 2 seasons for $185 (about half off)
 
Midwayusa brand. They use primaloft gold insulation. Does anyone know how that compares to “37.5”?
