Everybody knows if they tailgate size they at least 300 pounds all day....hahaha

Was bigger than me for sure! haha the pack out from where it ran to my truck was rough... ended up raining while i was blood tracking and lost the blood trail so i grabbed my tracking dog and she bayed her up only wounded down by the river... good thing i had my cane knife. ended up working with my dog to get behind and grab the legs to flip em on the ground and poke em to finish her off... even though i had a great shot and hit her square behind front shoulder she would have survived.... arrow was broken off right in side her and the wound was not even bleeding with how much fat she had on her! made tons of laulau, bacon, and sausage!

That sounds ranchy as hell

Nice work! Send some of that Laulau over here to VA! haha. You got a pit in the yard?

Yah we have an imu but these cooked in a special laulau steamer that holds 50 laulau and goes on the propane wok burner.... super easy to deal with... we only light da imu for special occasions....

If you ever come Kaua'i we can chase goats or pig.... if you come end of October early November we can hang for blacktail.... and if you play your cards right i could hook you up with laulau and smoked meat to take home....

Good stuff man I appreciate that, I was supposed to be there again in April but the whole rona thing happened. Hoping to be back next year.

Nice pig and good shootin! I had a buddy working on the Palila Project years ago that ate pork all summer while he was out there.

Like guava jelly!
Ever make it to Lani to hunt them axis or mouflon? It's worth the trip.... I went over every year, good hunting, lots of opportunities.... man do I miss the islands, the hunting out there is next level. Alot of guys think I'm crazy when I talk about Hawaii being the sportsman paradise, where else can you chase turkey, axis, blacktail, pigs, goats, and pheasants all while watching whales jumping !!

Never made it to lanai for sheep or axis... on my list of places to hunt... i have family on molokai and big island that live in prime zones so i can hunt axis or sheep when i like... usually that means family trip with a few days to fill the cooler to make the whole trip worthwhile..
