I made it happen again y'all! I've been extremely blessed this season with some amazing opportunities.
From smacking a nice basket 8 on opening day in the 90 degree heat, to seeing more deer than I have in any other season so far! I have come a long way as a deer hunter, and have much much much more to learn, but I could not be more damn PROUD of myself! I fricken did it y'all!!
Doing all the reading and research I could online, putting boots on the ground when I can, and hunting when I could; I've been able to step my game up a bit!
Over the last couple of years I've learned to be more observant in the woods, rather than just looking to shoot a deer. I've watched and studied deer as they came through a set without even thinking about pulling the trigger and I think that has taught me A LOT..... IDK what it is, maybe that whole "Patience is a virtue" kind of thing!!! But I've changed for the better as a hunter in general and my passion for the sport grows year after year. I LOVE IT
Finding saddle hunting was the cherry on top that tied it all together for me!!
2 Bow Bucks Down!!!! Both harvested while in my DIY saddle, and my first year legitimately bow hunting! I've never TAGGED OUT on bucks before and I've never had the opportunity at something as big as this guy. He'll get some space on the wall, as this will be my first one I get mounted.
Get in the woods! Enjoy the land! There ain't nothing better.
