Biting the bullet

Great points, and I've had to deal with that problem in the past too. I was hoping to find something that packs small and light enough to just put in my current pack. That way, if I find a good spot that doesn't have any trees to either climb or use my saddle on the ground, I'd have an option that doesn't include sitting uncomfortably on a log, rock, or the ground.

I guess I could use the Waldrop to carry everything and leave it at the bottom of the tree if I do climb.

Would you say that it's possible to open and set up your ultra light chair with minimal noise if you really tried?
If I took the time to wrap each metal rod I think I could set my ultralight chair up quietly.

Ordered a Handi Pak to add to my PAC Seat for a load shelf.

Should be able to cinch it down tight and still carry a small backpack on the back of the chair and pull the load shelf out when successful.

I did something similar on a JX3 I had.
Will let you all know how it goes. I noticed that Waldrop started carrying a load shelf type add on, but it doesn’t look as streamlined as the Handi-Pak. Haven’t had my hands on theirs though, so it may be great.

I have a Pacseat listed for anyone looking.
Decided to stick with the JX3 so that I could make a decision of hunting ground or tree on the fly.

Agreed. Pac seat is 4.5 pounds. I have two and might buy their turkey seat next year. I’ve never been more comfortable with a trad bow shooting from a system. Seems like their 10 percent sale has continued. $288 which is about the price of saddles.

Heads up that they just secured bulk material pricing.....they're lowering the price this weekend on both chair models.

$225 according to a post on oldgobbler

Question is which one? Regular or turkey?

According to the post I read on another site (they are a sponsor) both will be eventually.

Ha! I meant which one do I buy.

I’m thinking regular since I’m older and getting out of a low rider requires a bit more effort these days.

Gotcha.

Me too. And I'm built low to the ground.. No low rider for me.

Oh wow! Almost thought you were being sarcastic or messing around. Interesting! Never heard about this thing before.
