Biting the bullet

That’s a nice setup. What bow is that?? .in addition to the pack seat I also have a millennium tree seat. I really like that also but it does require a tree and also weighs five pounds and is less than a hundred dollars. But at the end of the day the pack seat is 250 dollars better.
Northern Mist Classic. 56# at 28" 68" OAL. Douglas fir arrows with 190 Grizzly broadheads.

I think I’m good on that one. If I don’t have a trad bow in my hand I have a shotgun. If chair hunting and a cross gun is the dark side then @Nutterbuster is a Sith Lord and their can only be two.
Naw, he's a changer. One minute he is saddle hunting, then he is chair huntin with the crossgun, blink twice and he is headed up a creek in that weed wacker powered canoe like one of them indonesian fellers looking for a monkey to shoot with a blow gun. Wait that's it Tim Wells is a Sith Lord.

Nice. This is about the only gap in my gear and about the only thing that would seriously tempt me to spend money. The main hunting related expense I have been saving up for is gas money. I usually put $400.00 back for gas but this year I'm planning to put $1K back. If I don't use it all then I will roll it over for next season.
Gas…. Could be a thread all its own.

No doubt about it. Now that I don't have $1200 to $1500 club dues to worry about gas is my #1 hunting expense.
I’ve been public land hunting only for the last 8 years and trad only for deer. Granted this was my first year in TN (still learning the area). I still haven’t gotten to draw back on a deer with a trad bow or any bow. Got stick bow close three times (maybe good stories for another time) but didn’t get to draw. Killed plenty of squirrels and other things with it. But no deer. This year though I finally have some property to hunt so it’s my year. Also with five kids I can’t put the time necessary into scouting or public hunting. But I am so stuck in trad I’ve been deerless and haven’t brought out the rifle. I maybe get 10 deer hunts a year. This year though will be different.

I've been pretty lucky with the longbow in hand. I got a shot at a buck off the ground one evening at 12 yards. I was sitting up against a white oak with a blow down behind me. He and another buck came over the hill the way I came in. I wasn't expecting that. They were eating white oak acorns and I finally got to full draw and held low, expecting the very close deer to drop to the shot. He was looking dead at me when I hit full draw. lol. The arrow went right under his body, right behind his right leg. It didn't cut a hair. They decided to leave at that point. I just had to sit back and smile. That was with a wood arrow.

I missed another buck, this one cruising in young pines, one evening from my Lone Wolf Climber. I shot right in front of him. I guess I pulled the shot off due to the weird angle I had to assume to get the shot. This was also at 12 yards. This time it was a heavy, high FOC carbon arrow setup. The bow was so quiet he didn't even realize I shot at him. He just continued on birddogging a doe's trail.

I also had 5 doe come over a hill one morning when I was sitting on the ground. I never got to draw on them, too many eyes.

Hopefully you will be able to connect this fall.

My wife found this thread, she has demanded your female’s training regiment for you.
That's not good but at least keep her restricted to this site. For heaven's sake dont let her find Amazon. On second thought, maybe you should show her amazon and she will forget all about that training nonsense, you will just need to work more.

Been sitting in my pacseat in my living room for the past 30 minutes. Yep... this thing IS worth it. Wow. I'm real impressed. So simple, yet so comfortable.

Happy Father's day!
The "sitting" part of the Waldrop PacSeat completely justifies its purchase price; however, the other 50% of the namesake is "Pac" in the packing of the seat to where you would like to kill, photograph, watch, call, paint, camp, hangout something, and in my opinion, is what trully adds incredible value to this Pac-Seat.

I agree and they stand behind their product 100 percent. It also is so light and handy to attach your stuff to.

Keep hearing a lot about this seat and considering one myself. I see on the website there’s the pacseat and the turkey seat. Not seeing a difference in the photos or the description between the two so was curious if anyone on here knew the difference between these? Wish I would have got one of these before the price increase.

The turkey seat is several inches lower. Exactly how much I don’t know but if you call them they will answer and they are perfectly wonderful to talk to you.
