So the saddle thing is cool and I can see a place for it in my life. However even as a young adventurous buck that likes to climb my most enjoyable hunts have been on the ground in my tree seat. I’ve been looking at one of these for years and finally bit the bullet. Wait list is mid may but I’m hoping this is gonna be as good as I think it will. Finally ordered Waldrop pac seat and might be doing a lot of ground hunting. Big bullet but buy once fry once right? After all I did drop a small fortune on saddle hunting.

Those look great! They have tempted me quite a bit. I love hunting off the ground. It adds a whole other level of excitement when the deer or hogs are at eye level. Also, there is just something about Trad bows and ground hunting. I feel like I could round a corner any time and run into Howard Hill or Fred Bear stalking the same deer.

I've been going the cheap route for years now. I use a folding tripod seat and a homemade Torges seat. I'm looking forward to a review once you get it.

My seat should be here in a week or two. It’s going to be awesome

Think I can hear one out there calling my name also. We hunted from the ground quite a bit this year and it just seems so much more simple. No rush to get up a tree. No sweating once you reach the top. You want to move cause you don't think you picked the greatest spot?... no problem just pick up and move!

In addition to our five kid club, which I joined the other day. It seems we are of one mind. I hunted probably 13 times this year and the two ground hunts were my favorite. Setup 5 min, Sent cone smaller, mobility better.
Short story. Last hunt of the season finally got the permission for private property. Deer are there. I bring my bow and my service pistol. Which means I’m covered to about 100 yards between the two weapons. My retired friend and former colleague explains he sees deer every day. But they appear in different spots. He sets me up and I set up my saddle. It’s comfortable but not ground comfortable. I wait. Buddy texts me hey they are in the field, which means I have to move. I’m too late. Takes me time to get down safely and all. Like I said in the OP. I like saddle. I will use it and I appreciate the comfort of the drey. I see a lot of activity on the ground and I am gonna wear that pac seat in.

Yep. We gonna slay em from the ground this coming season. You from your pacseat and me from my bucket. I may eventually get a pacseat from these kids for Father's Day one year :)

Great Investment! IMG-6083.jpgHighly recommend. If you're in the cold states during deer season, be sure to also bring a cushion of some kind, the tubed metal gets cold and transfers to your legs after awhile. Otherwise, its awesome. Shot a gobbler with an HC mini with one last year. They are awesomely light and versatile in the turkey blind and you can lash the blind to it and carry it in. Works great.

Exactly!!

I’ve got a hammock seat and it works. Easy set up, fairly comfortable, fits in pack. Killed a doe past season with the Hickory Creek sitting in it. I’m gonna have to have a “yard sale” to get the funds for a pac seat if I want to get one.
Yep. Built a hammock seat for this coming year. Problem is you gotta have trees around.
