Biting the bullet

For you guys that have these how does the height feel? I saw they now offer a lower seat model, say 8-9"s instead of the standard 15-16".

Dang it man, Ya'll have me looking at one of these now. I've used a Torges seat for years, but this looks cool. Where is that saddle hunters support thread?

Yeah they caught up all orders a couple weeks ago and expanded production. So shipping times should be quick. No more three months waits. Also they are gonna be coming out with mods and other cool stuff from what I was told. Who knows if I come into some money or win the lotto I’ll buy the low one if nothing else for turkey hunting. My few trips with this seat have been so pleasant, I’m debating selling all my saddle stuff to fund another one.

I have the standard sized seat and now I've killed two gobblers out of it. One last year with a crossbow and this year with my vertical bow. It works great in a blind or outside of a blind. I agree with @Petrichor in that there is quite a bit of adjustability to it. You raise or lower it using the back lower supports and the strap. If you want to recline back and seat yourself a little lower you lengthen the strap to increase the distance and vice versa to be more upright. What's nice is you can adjust this throughout the day to change your "comfort settings" so to speak.

As a side note, I didn't realize they are adding a new seat and other products. Great to hear that.

You should do it. They are incredible and are making improvements to seat as well. For instance, I was told soon they will be powder coated (paint chips easily). The only thing I can see that could ever use replacement the seat material. Even then I expect it to last a decade or more and all it is a sun shade material. I’ve already tested the warranty they describe as lifetime (everything but the paint). Had a small issue. They shipped a new seat the next day. Every hunter should have one. Trees lean it. No trees works perfect. Doesn’t matter where you hunt the seat can work. I sit in mine down stairs next to my couch. 5 pounds and can carry more than you can. I’ll be posting a full review soon.

As for adjustment you can also untie the knot of the seat and let a little bit of line out to lower just the seat bar. I did this because I’m short.

New products (all of which they can add to an existing seat or new order when they come available) they mentioned to me were, meat shelf option, packs installed, and meat bags installed etc.

Nice. This is about the only gap in my gear and about the only thing that would seriously tempt me to spend money. The main hunting related expense I have been saving up for is gas money. I usually put $400.00 back for gas but this year I'm planning to put $1K back. If I don't use it all then I will roll it over for next season.

Chair hunting is the path to the darkside. Avoid the crossgun you must.

Avoid the crossgun I will, lol. I do like hunting off the ground though. I see it for setups like this, but also good for places where there are no trees big enough to lean against.

That’s a nice setup. What bow is that?? .in addition to the pack seat I also have a millennium tree seat. I really like that also but it does require a tree and also weighs five pounds and is less than a hundred dollars. But at the end of the day the pack seat is 250 dollars better.
