I'm curious, do you use this as your primary rappelling method? Also, is there a way to lock it for hands free use?

That looks to be a very good belay device for oplux. I have the Grivel master mono and did not realize Black Diamond made a single belay device.

I would use this as my primary rappelling method. You would combine this with cordage and a hitch of some kind for third hand or free hand use.
